Pandora’s Trunk call for Artists

Pandora’s Trunk is a bi-monthly eclectic arts showcase in SoMa SF. The show has a fashion/sample sale focus but has included a broad variety of artists and artisans – at our last show we had a chocolatier, a masseuse, fine arts sculptors, a violist and a singer/songwriter playing tag team, as well as fashion & accessories designers.

December 9th was our 4th show and was well attended even through the pouring rain. The event is growing in leaps and bounds through targeted advertising and a ton of great press. The next event will be on Feb. 3rd, with a focus around the theme of recycling and re-use. If you are interested in presenting your work in this showcase, please check out our website and then email us and tell a little bit about yourself and your work – links to images or your website, whatever you’ve got. Please don’t send us huge files, they’re a pain and you know it. We’re especially interested in offbeat projects – a jug band, with instruments made from reclaimed objects? Unusual sculpture? There is a lot of overhead space so anything that can hang from the ceiling is great. Some preference will be given to commercially viable projects and projects that address the theme but any suggestions will be entertained.

Musicians will be paid.
Any vendors will not pay a table fee but instead a flat percentage of your sales.
The show is free to all and comes with free booze. It’s a lot of fun to do. There is no end deadline but space is limited and once enough people are in, you are out of luck. I hope to have a mostly final lineup by the end of the year.
